Description: Welcome to Hotel Colloseum - Cerny Konicek (Black Pony). We offer our guests 30 rooms in total in the city center of Prague, within walking distance of Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge and the National Theatre. Our historical building has been re-constructed to meet modern needs of comfort. Rooms We offer pleasant accomodation in all rooms, which are equipped with toilet, shower, SAT-TV, direct dial telephone, free internet connection, central heating. On request, we are able to provide a fridge, hairdryer, ironer or DVD player. Reception The reception is open 24-hours a day, and we are always at your disposal to help you with sightseeing tours, car rental, excursions outside of Prague, airport transfers, guided trips, etc. Breakfast Breakfast is served in the cafeteria. History of the Building The first known owner of this building was master John (Johanispraetextarii), and the first mention of the building was dated around 1386. Nowadays, the architectural shape of the building is a baroque re-construction from the beginning of the 18th century. Every re-construction after this date was only "cosmetics", leaving the structure as it was: builder J. Zelenka made some minor changes to the latest classical style in 1848, a part front change designed by the builder Fleisik in 1902, and a part disposition change by the designer Ludovik Labera.
