Description: Hotel Domus Balthasar, a member of Hidden Places - Residences and Hotels, is located just few steps from Charles Bridge, in a baroque building on medieval foundations, 21st century design. This is the oldest and most romantic part of Prague (Malá Strana), an ideal choice for both a holiday and an enjoyable business trip. We offer a unique accommodation on the Royal Route, blending history and modern comfort, in our small design hotel. Be our guest and enjoy our hospitality. Our building was part of an archbishop's palace, and it was separated in 1447. Based on the medieval suterain, a baroque house was built in 1721, called House At a Dark Blackamoor. Later on, but before 1792, the house was reconstructed and gained its shape of today. Hotel Residence Domus Balthasar was opened after re-construction in 2003. The re-construction was done with maximum respect to the historical details and the demands of modern travelers. Location Charles Bridge is 50 meters, while the Old Town square and the Astronomical Clock are about 500 meters from here. The Prague Castle and the St. Vitus Cathedral are also about 500 meters from the hotel, and the famous Wenceslas square is about 1 km away. Our Rooms We have 8 rooms at Hotel Domus Balthasar, out of which 6 are spacious, comfortable and luxurious double rooms, and 2 are suites with kitchenette. The rooms feature direct-dial telephone, SAT-TV, fax, high-speed Internet connection, multi-purpose business desk, minibar, coffee- and tea-making facilities, safety deposit box, mini Hi-Fi system (Cd, DVD, radio), luxury bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bathtub, heated bathroom floor, bathrobe, hairdryer and make-up mirror. In addition to the standard room equipment, the suites also have a kitchenette, ceramic cooking stove, microwave oven and basic cooking equipment. Extra beds and baby cots are available in the rooms upon request. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Amex, Eurocard-Mastercard, JCB, Diners Club. We have an Airport Transfer Service between Prague International Airport and Hotel Domus Balthasar. Make sure to book your pick-up at least 1 workday prior to arrival.
